My Story

In 2013, I took an assessment that changed my life. At that time, I was working in nonprofit management and was directed to take the StrengthsFinder assessment offered by Gallup. I was introduced to my Top 5 Strengths, which are:

Achiever, Activator, Competition, Input, and Strategic

I researched how I could apply my strengths to my job functions, which then spilled over into my personal life. When I use my strengths to accomplish tasks it doesn't feel like work to me. I felt it was necessary to share this movement and mindset shift to others and assist them with better engagement and productivity. My husband and two older sons know their top strengths as well. As a Strengths based family, we have built a better relationship with one another by understanding, appreciating, and respecting who we each are as unique individuals. I have more than 15 years of experience in the field of education and I have taught students of all ages from early childhood to adults. For 10 years, I owned an educational company that provided academic tutorial services and college planning advice for students and their parents. I am a graduate of Prairie View A&M University and Concordia University-Austin. Currently, I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Transformational Leadership at Concordia University-Portland. Additionally, I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. My mission is to inspire the world’s leaders to focus on what their employees do right instead of what they do wrong. When I’m not busy helping others realize their strengths and aspirations, I like to spend time with my husband and our three sons where we reside in Richmond, Texas.

Knowing that my Top 5 Strengths are uniquely mine and the likelihood that the same exact Top 5 is merely a 1 in 33,000,000 chance is an astounding piece of information. I studied my strengths’ profile and put it to work. As an educator it gives me great satisfaction to know that I am inspiring students and teachers to be their best selves in every possible way. 


When working with individuals, I make sure to deliver a personable and insightful approach to each coaching session. This approach quickly enables my clients to discover their core strengths and talents and how to work towards using these effectively and productively every day.


It is my objective to help each individual find and master their talents as their unique contribution—not just to their team and to their workplace but also to their friendship, family, and community. They can then use and aim this new knowledge and their understanding of it toward a more rewarding professional and personal life.


When working with teams, I focus on the premise that each team member has a distinctive set of strengths to contribute to the overall success of the team. I facilitate engaging team coaching sessions that work towards a proven improvement in engagement and productivity. These sessions help team members to fully appreciate one another and bring out the best in each other on a daily basis.


After all, there’s strength in numbers. Once the team strengths dynamics are understood and appreciated and this knowledge is embedded into the culture of the team, I believe that there are no limits to the productivity and gains they can achieve.
